Account manager

Position

  • You are responsible for the complete management and revenue (growth) of our existing small and midsize client portfolio in the wood sector
  • Active lead generation is another important aspect of the role, to develop new clients with a similar profile and increase revenue
  • Regular travel throughout Europe – for 2 to 3 days per week on average – with the remaining time spent at the office in Maldegem/Aalter
  • Clients and prospective clients speak Dutch, English and French or German

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage and follow up with existing clients, selling extensions to existing software and upgrades to the latest version with new and renewed contracts, as well as identifying alternative software solutions of interest
  • Generate and follow up new leads to attract new midsize clients in the wood sector
  • You will work closely with other departments and maintain your focus on sales
  • Project size is typically €10k - 40k

Profile

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in software and/or technology sales and lead generation in a B2B setting
  • Higher education (minimum Bachelor’s degree level)
  • Sufficient command of Dutch, English and French or German to agree contracts independently
  • English is a basic requirement because of the international character of the company and sector
  • Excellent PC skills and knowledge of standard packages Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Commercial mindset 
  • Technical insights to convert demand from manufacturing companies into software requirements for our standard product
  • Dynamic
  • Solution-oriented
  • Knows when to involve colleagues, is cost-conscious and takes responsibility

Senior Business Developer

Position

  • You are responsible for selling our operational resource platform software for the cutting industry, with a focus on the PERFORM product; PERFORM combines resource planning and manufacturing execution functionality in a single solution
  • PERFORM is a new product that is initially being sold to existing clients in the wood sector who have been using ARDIS® software for years
  • Active lead generation and following up is another important aspect of the role to develop new major clients
  • Clients and prospective clients speak Dutch, English and French or German
  • Regular visits to clients throughout Europe – 2 days per week on average – with the remaining time spent at the office in Maldegem/Aalter

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with existing major clients to sell the PERFORM software product as an extension to the existing OPTIMIZER software which they are already using
  • Attract midsize and major clients in the wood sector
  • You will work closely with other departments and maintain your focus on sales
  • Project size is typically €40k - 150k

Profile

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales and business development of complex software in a B2B setting
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience
  • Sufficient command of Dutch, English and French or German to agree contracts independently
  • English is a basic requirement because of the international character of the company and sector
  • Excellent PC skills with good knowledge of standard packages Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in selling process software such as MRP, ERP or MES is a big advantage
  • Commercial mindset 
  • Technical insights to convert demand from manufacturing companies into software requirements for our standard product

Junior Technical Consultant

Position

  • Once a project has been sold, you are the technical contact person for the client
  • Under supervision from our operations manager and in consultation with our salespeople, you ensure the smooth running of the project for the client
  • The short lead time per project (less than 2 weeks on average) means this is a very varied role
  • You work within the operations department which is responsible for support, installations and implementations. There is variation with both off-site and on-site interventions. The frequency of travel is determined in mutual consultation
  • You provide support to our dealers worldwide
  • You detect current and future client requirements, and provide feedback to the operations manager for further product development
  • As you gain more experience, you will work more independently and be responsible for larger projects

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Wood Technology or ICT or equivalent through experience
  • Passionate about IT; programming skills in any language is a bonus
  • You are happy to receive further training
  • Good language skills and command of French, English and German is a big bonus
  • You are a team player with a hands-on mentality, a flexible attitude and good ability to work under stress – with the ambition to help achieve the ARDIS® growth plans
  • Experience with CNC machines is a bonus
  • Most importantly, you are service-driven, passionate about your work and have an open and flexible mindset with good communication skills

Technical consultant

Position

  • Once a project has been sold, you are the contact person for the client
  • Together with our operations manager and in consultation with our programmers and salespeople, you take the lead in building the best solution possible
  • A combination of projects with short (less than 2 weeks on average) and longer lead times means this is a very varied role
  • You work within the operations department which is responsible for support, installations and implementations. There is variation with both off-site and on-site interventions. The frequency of travel is determined in mutual consultation
  • As you gain more experience, you will be able to add further analysis and provide additional support to our dealers worldwide
  • You detect current and future client requirements, and provide feedback to the R&D department with regard to product development

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences or equivalent through experience
  • Passionate about IT; programming skills in any language is a bonus
  • You are happy to receive further training
  • Good language skills and command of French, English and German is a big bonus
  • You are a team player with a hands-on mentality, a flexible attitude and good ability to work under stress – with the ambition to help achieve the ARDIS®® growth plans
